Been meaning to try this place since it opened a few weeks ago. Had a delightful mother's day dinner. Everything was different and delicious and perfectly prepared. Mostly mexican ingredients in mostly french preparations at modest prices in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and unfussy french service... when my 4 year old dropped fork, a napkin-draped plate of fresh forks was presented to him within seconds. Such a refreshing change from the many overpriced, cramped bistros in nearby Carnegie Hill where service tends to be snooty and the food mediocre.
There's a little window between the kitchen and the dining room, and the guys in the kitchen seemed to be peeking out to see how the dishes were going over.
I hope lots of people will patronize this place.
