Itinerary for Out-of-Towners

MMMO | Feb 14, 201105:35 PM

I really hope to find a helpful critique of the below itinerary. To give background, my father is bringing four of his neighbors/friends to visit NYC for the first time in a few weeks. My father has traveled to NYC quite a bit and has his favorite restaurants here, but his neighbors have never really traveled (or eaten) outside of their small town. I'm trying to build a weekend experience for them that will showcase some of the better restaurants in New York, while keeping in mind that the Olive Garden has been their most exciting restaurant experience to-date. Adding to the complexity is that there will be 8 of us in the party each day/night, and we will be mostly downtown. Here is the plan so far:

Thursday
Dinner: Pearl Oyster Bar
Dinner Backup: Roc (Tribeca)

Friday
Lunch: Chinatown - Yeah Shanghai Deluxe (is this still good?)
Dinner: Little Owl (if we can get in)
Dinner Backup: Cafe Cluny

Saturday
Brunch: Market Table or Pastis
Dinner: Otto
Dinner Backup: John's Pizza

Sunday
Lunch: Radegast (Williamsburg)
Dinner: PJ Clarke's
