Went to dinner at the new Tuscan influenced Siena in Pasadena. The Pasadena Weekly gave Robert Humphreys rave reviews, but this Friday night they were clearly not prepared for the dinner crowd. Although there was immediate seating at 7:30, we waited 10 minutes before a server got our drink order to us. I had read about some scrumptious bread with a dipping sauce of olive oil with hits of balsamic vinegar, rosemary and parmesan but that too was absent until I asked for it. The food however was very good; the duck prosciutto and fig salad was dynamite, and the squid ink linguine with clams, mussels, calimari and crab in a light cream sauce was delectable.
There are many other original ideas here, my advice is to wait until they have their kitchen and wait staff under control.
