Many years ago (sometime in the 1980's), I got a recipe from a food magazine (I believe it might have been Food & Wine) for an Italian cookie that the author said was a family recipe. The
cookies had a shortbread like texture. You then sandwiched two of the cookies together with bitter orange marmalade. Although I am of Italian descent on my mother's side, I frankly don't like the run of the mill Italian filled butter cookies. These were exceptional due to the texture of the cookie and the "unsweetness" of the filling. Of course, I tossed the magazine out by accident when I moved. Has anyone ever seen or have a similar recipe? Thanks in advance.
