Does anyone have a great shortbread cookie recipe? I just need a plain, simple, shorbread cookie that can be cut out with a cookie cutter instead of pressed into the bottom of a baking pan.
I'm trying to simulate the cookies at Citizen Cake, for those of you who know San Francisco.
If anyone has suggestions about the filling, that would be appreciated too. I think I have a good handle on it, though. It's just cream cheese with a good amount of powdered sugar and lemon zest whipped in. Can I whip lemon juice into cream cheese and sugar, or should I stick with the zest and some lemon oil?
