ISO: the name of the NY deli that was in Mid State Mall, in East Brunswick, in the 80s

Growing up in East Brunswick, there was a New York style deli in Mid State Mall, on the corner near ShopRite where Franks Pizza is now. This is back in the days of BEST being where Best Buy is now, and Acme Supermarket where Borders used to be. My family and I would go to this deli at least twice a month, and I can still taste the chicken-in-a-basket I would get there every time. They would serve big bowls of assorted pickles and coleslaw. There were glass blocks, the tables and banquettes were a kind of mauve-ish plum, there were dried salami hanging from the ceiling—clearly, this place has left an indelible impression on my mind. But I brought it up recently to my parents, who still live in EB, and they looked at me like I was insane.

I know that if I can find the name of the deli, it will jog their memory (and their faith in my sanity might be restored)—but I've spent 2 weeks trying to come up with it, and I've got nothing.

Any help, or at least validation, that this deli existed would be greatly appreciated! I wouldn't be surprised if it was called "New York Deli," or something generic like that, but I've got to know I'm not the only one who remembers it!
