There's a big Korean supermarket in Flushing, NY that has a salad bar that has the most incredible, delicious pickled garlic I've ever tasted. It's obviously pickled in some kind of sugar/vinegar combination, and its very nicely balanced, and nice and crisp. Unlike many of the recipes I've seen for Korean pickled garlic, these garlic bulbs (they're pickled whole) do not seem to have any soy sauce.
I'm trying to get a recipe for this stuff. I tried to ask one of the managers at the store, but, alas, there was a language barrier.
Can anyone help me find a recipe for this stuff?
