About 15 years ago my aunt gave me a copy of "60 Minute Gourmet" by the former NYT columnist Pierre Franey.
Now I am a working mother with very little time to cook, but my family and I appreciate good food. The one cookbook I own which truly delivers on the promise of "quick & easy recipes that taste great too" is "60 Minute Gourmet".
Is this the best cookbook in the pantheon of cookbooks for really quick & easy and delicious?
If you know of any other contenders, please let me know.
p.s. We just bought a slow cooker, so if any slow cooker cookbooks emphasize ease of preparation without sacrificing taste, recs would be welcome too. I have read the slow cooker recipe posts on this board, and lots look promising, and also the slow cooker cookbook recs although it was not clear whether posters had ease of preparation at the forefront of their review criteria.
