Interesting/famous restaurants for a first timer in Tokyo

Hello all,

Will finally be visiting Tokyo for the first time in December for 5 days and looking for a few suggestions for places to eat that have an interesting atmosphere or with history. Not exactly after super high end dining this trip, more an introduction to different types of Japanese cuisines. Similar to what Din Tai Fung is for Taipei or Tim Ho Wan in HK (don't mind touristy). The better stuff can wait til I'm back in Feb when I can hopefully appreciate it.

I will be spending half my time near Tokyo Station and the other half near Shibuya. Places around those two areas would be easier since I don't expect to have much time allocated for travelling this trip.

I've read through some threads and here are the restaurants I've tentatively decided on:

Sushi - Sushi Iwa/Tokami (lunch), Sushi Dai/Daiwa, Midori

Ramen - Rokurinsha, Ichiran

Soba - Narutomi (will i need a reservation for a Friday lunch?)

Curry - Moyan

Tonkatsu - Maisen

Anigo - Nihonbashi Tamai

Unagi - Bincho

Tempura - Tenmatsu/Tsunahachi (I'm allergic to shrimp, is it still worth doing a dedicated tempura restaurant?)

I plan on going to Gonpachi one night and a brief stop at Harujuku Gyoza.

I don't mind waiting in lines for the more hyped places. Sadly, my girlfriend is a pescotarian (doesn't eat meat, seafood is fine) so out of respect for her I won't be indulging in any beef related restaurants. I also haven't included any yakitori's since it's not really her thing.

Please don't cringe too much at my list. Like I said, touristy is not a problem. And I apologize if this seems a bit repetitive to the other questions on the board, however I'm more up for novelty factor than for purely top notch food.

Any suggestions on better places to eat at are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
