The November 03 edition of Saveurs (French) describes a strange selection of three restaurants in New York: 57 57 (which I don't believe is good, based on limited exposure when Philippe Legendre visited and Brooke Vosika cooked with Legendre and two other Four Seasons chefs), the Post House, and Arabelle at the Plaza Athenee.
The Saveurs report indicates that Arabelle's chef Raymond Saja trained with Claude Troisgros (note not Michel or Pierre at Roanne) before joining Arabelle. European cuisine with Italian influences. One menu (query whether lunch) is at $30.
