So, I bought a dual burner Cuisinart counter top induction cooktop to do some testing with. The first test was with a run of the mill try-ply saucepan boiling some water. Right out of the gate I noticed a "ring" of bubbles form where the induction element was under the glass. I do not have ready access to a high end induction range to compare against.

Can anyone tell me if what I am dealing with there is indicative of a cheap induction range or is that commonplace with most of them?
