This is another food event not to be missed by Asian food enthusiasts. Good number of hounds had been there before.
There will be many outstanding authentic Indonesian dishes there. Many are very outstanding and unique dishes. Things like Satay, Beef Rendangs, Soups, appetizers and desserts will be offered by many different vendors. Seldom seen dishes are abundant here. Things like RISOLES (Crepe dusted with bread crumbs filled with delicious ragout like filling), LEMPERS (Cylinder shaped aromatic glutinous rice with spiced chicken filling wrapped in banana leaf).
This had been attended by good number of hounds in the past. Many threads have been posted about it. Just search CTRL-F with the word Bazaar or Indonesian.
It's organizaed by NESO Netherlands Society of Northern California). But most of the foods are dominated by Indonesian home cooks showing off their best skills in the kitchen. Prices are reasonable.
There will be music plus some arts and crafts.

770 Montague Expressway, San Jose

Try to get there early. Some (few) of the best vendors run out of food by 12 or 1 pm. By 2-3 pm, things slow but many vendors will sell their leftover for pennies.
Donation $1.50 per person. children under 12 free.
I will try to get some hounds together and grab a table or two so that we can group ourselves together and share food if so desired. Lets meet at 10:30 in the morning and grab the closest table to the entrance. It is important to be there by that time or we might not be able to congregate because it will be too crowded.
