I convinced my dad to join me for dinner at Ciudad last night. I chose to forego an appetizer in favor of their cumin fries, which were great, at least while they were still hot (though a little less cumin-y than I thought they would be). I had the Brazilian Moqueca and my dad had the Halibut Veracruzana. The Moqueca was very satisfying - aside from all the seafood (I even ate all the fish), I really loved the coconut broth and bits of fried plantain. My dad said the halibut was good, but I could tell it didn't quite blow him away. He said the dish tasted strongly of olives.
Add a slice of Barcelona cake and a few Caipirinhas, and I walked away very stuffed and happy. I was even happier when my dad refused to let me pay. :D
