After reading several positive reviews of this taco stand on Sunset Blvd. in Silver Lake, I finally stopped by last night to try it out and was somewhat disappointed. The carne asada taco, I think it was $1.00, certainly hit the spot and my friend was happy with his Al Pastor. But the fish taco, although a generous portion, was sorely lacking. I almost had to drive straight to Eagle Rock for a Senior Fish fix. The breading was thick, greasy and slightly off- tasting and the fish was dry. The ceviche tostada was not bad but I think Senor Fish's is much better. Now I really need to try Baja Ensenada...wish El Siete Mares was better since it's so close to my house, but I think I'll reserve it for carne asada fixes. Anyone had the burritos here?
