Ideas for trip to Boston in February?

Kat Raz | Jan 9, 2006 07:32 PM

My family is coming to Boston for the first time in February. We have 4 days/3 nights and are looking to eat our way through Boston/Cambridge. :-)

I have the beginnings of a list of restaurants culled from chowhounds and other websites, and would love feedback and/or other recommendations. We haven't decided whether to stay in Copley or Cambridge, and will be using public transportation (no car.)

We plan to visit:
- MIT & MIT Museum
- Harvard Square, Natural History Museum at Harvard
- Haymarket & Quincy Market
- H&M (for my neice :-)
- Shows: Blue Man Group, Lyric Stage, Improv Asylum

Here are the restaurants on the list so far:

Toscaninis (ice cream) Central Square
Christina's (ice cream) Inman Square
Tamarind Bay (Indian) Harvard Square
Maria's Pastry Shop (Italian Pastry) North End
Antico Forno (Italian) North End
Regina's (Pizza) North End
Chacarero (Chilean sandwiches) Downtown Crossing

We like italian, pizza, gelato, would love good bahn mi or other excellent sandwiches. Can get good asian and seafood at home. Not interested in touristy stuff, but husband would go for a good chowder.

Many thanks!
