ideas for a holiday party?

I know this question has been asked before but figured I'd throw my requirements in as well:

Group of 7 co-workers looking for a good place for a night out:

- Group is not that adventurous....I think the most ethnic you'll get is Italian or Mexican, both of which would be fine.
- Looking for a medium-price range; entrees ranging from say $15-24ish. So....not L'Espelier but not Border Cafe either.
- Would be good to have a place with a fun, energetic vibe; festive a plus (which is why the North End could certainly be a consideration) an actual bar area would be cool too, in the event that we have to wait.
- Would also be nice to choose a place that's in a somewhat "happening" area; vs. say Sorriso (which was another thought but is sorta in the middle of nowhere)

I thought I had the perfect spot w/Teatro, but since it's sorta loud there, the concern is we'll get seated at a long table and it'll be difficult for the group to converse. Via Matta was a thought too, but again, loud, and possibly just a bit over the price point.

Somewhere in the N. End perhaps? Lucca?

Any thoughts? The dinner is this Fri night so we need to get GOING and make a rez asap.

TIA.
