my grandmother had this bottle. my mom then moved it from home to home. eventually it ended up in my hands. i halfheartedly asked around, and searched "the Google" for it, but whatever. a few months ago, we planned a dinner party with some of my closest friends. it clicked! what better group to see what is up with that bottle!! i packed it along.
dinner was fun. it was one of those conversations that leaves your face sore from laughing. we debated on who gets to open it. i didnt want to, since i saw the condition of the cork. we managed. i would guess this bottle came from the time Britain stopped by China to say, "hi".
it tasted like butterscotch. boozy butterscotch. it was super good, still. i left the bottle in Oakland, since traveling with it was problematic...friend promised not to cook with it :D i should pop back to taste some more later in the month. i'm not much of a Cognac person, but was fun.
