Housemade Snacks at Asiana Market in Cotati

Asiana Market, the Korean grocer at the Crossroads in Cotati makes panchan and snacks in-house and many of them are quite good.

One Friday afternoon I stopped in the store as freshly prepared seafood items were put out for display. They were just the ticket to serve as appetizers at a potluck that evening.

The batter for the tempura squid softened up by the time it was served, but still tasty. Haemul paejoon (seafood pancake) heated up well in the oven and was well-appreciated when served with a sesame-soy sauce dipping sauce.
