Houndly Eats For The Lone Traveler at Palo Alto and Fremont??

oli | Sep 7, 200507:07 PM     4

Hi SF Hounds!

My bf will be attending a conference at Stanford next week and staying at a friend's place in Fremont. Since I can't be with him, I am hoping to get some recs from hounds in the Bay Area. More specifically, I am looking for eateries that are quick and easy for lone diners in the low-moderate price range. No particular dislikes except for Mexican food. I'd love recs in both Stanford (lunch/early dinner) and Fremont (dinner mostly). For those who are familiar with LA and OC, we like Philippe's, In-n-Out, Philip's BBQ, Mitsuwa markets, the godmother at Bay Cities, Abbot Kinney Pizza Co., K-town and Hong Kong style cafes in Monterey Park when we're just looking for something quick and easy.

Thanks in advance for your help!
