hot dogs and burgers

Okay, so this isn't the most sophisticated cuisine, but I think New Orleans is really lacking in this area. Who has the best?

I can't, for the life of me, find a real hot dog stand. Lucky Dogs don't count. I'm talking 100% beef dogs and quality toppings, and chili/cheese being optional. On occasion, Surrey's on Magazine st. serves vienna beef hot dogs with all the trimmings. And there's a guy with a Sabrett hot dog cart who hangs around the aquarium sometimes, but he's elusive. That's the best I've found.

As for burgers, I know there's plenty of restaurants and bars that serve them. I love bud's broiler and frostop, but they don't have what I sometimes crave, which is a juicy, rare cheeseburger. I'm looking for a place like port of call, but without the wait, the crowds, the baked potato, and the $10 pricetag. There's got to be one out there.
