Hors d'oeuvre ideas?

We need some suggestions for a dish to bring to a family party this weekend. There will be about 15 - 20 people altogether, bringing either an hors d'oeuvre/appetizer or dessert to share, and we'll be driving 80 miles from home to party. So, what's seasonal, pretty much completely done ahead (except for minor garnish), and good at room temperature? One guest is famous for her chopped liver, and I hate hardboiled eggs; will welcome any other ideas!
