hoomoos asli

junglekitte | Jan 8, 2006 12:05 PM

a little israeli kosher place on kenmare in soho. had a mixed grill with lamb, beef, and chicken on a bed of fluffy fresh hoomoos. comes with a little plate of israeli salad(cucumber, tomato, onion with a lemon vinaigrette), a cole slaw, and HOT sauce. i must admit i added a bit of salt and quite a bit of lemon...but once i did, it was absolutely delicious! everything is fresh made to order on the premisis and the baklava is made there everyday as well!

i told the owner how much i loved falafel and had tried various places around the city to compare. she went into the kitchen to fry me an individual ball for me to taste...i must say it was by far the best falafel i've had here in manhattan. i can't wait to go back and try the falafel sandwich and all the fixings.
