I was walking to Barbacco to pick up my MealPal and came across a new restaurant next door: Homage Ltd., which appears have been open a couple of weeks.
This is a more limited version of the original Homage off Union Square. I like the concept: "Homage" refers to the fact that they feature products from a single farm every month, and the menu changes accordingly. It has three small but well-curated menus: breakfast (7-10:45) and lunch (11-3), and unlike the original Homage, a drinks and nibbles "twilight" menu (3-9). The real standout is the drinks menu, with an interesting selection of both alcoholic (everything from beer and cider to cocktails) and nonalcoholic offerings (tumeric and lemon latte, anyone?). Lots of housemade/blended/cured items ("House-made, freshly cultured yogurt with black caradmom and citrus granola, wildflower honey, our market marmalade and various K&J (featured farm) fruits"). Not cheap, but in line with prices in that part of the FiDi.
Anyone tried it?
