Hollister/Tres Pinos/Ridgemark - Help!

For the last 4-5 yrs we've been part of a large group visiting the Hollister/Ridgemark/San Juan Bautista area for a long golf weekend. Each year we have dinner one night at the Ridgemark Golf Course restaurant (which has gotten worse each year) and for the last couple of years we've had one dinner at the Inn at Tres Pinos. I can't believe that these places are able to stay in business. Our dinner last Friday night at the Inn at Tres Pinos was truly comical. The highlight of the meal was when the bus boy, who looked about 15, spilled water on the table while refilling my husband's glass and exclaimed "shit"! I spent the rest of my meal cringing each time he came near our table for fear of what he'd spill on me next! These places are not shy about charging $24.50 for a mediocre filet mignon with what tastes like canned brown sauce. Why do we return to these places? Because there don't seem to be any better places. Anybody have any suggestions?
