Hirozen Gourmet

I don't see many chowhounds mentioning Hirozen for sushi. I've been going there for years as it's in my neighborhood. I've had my ups and downs with the
quality of service, but I've always respected the food. Could be that it's a cultural thing and I'm a woman dining solo? In any event, last night I had
one of the best meals there in years. I just had to share it with all.
Wine - Seghesio Pinot Grigio 2000 Russian River Valley
I don't know much about wines, but this one was perfect with the food I ordered. 2 glasses
Raw oysters with a dab of caviar and ponzu - so fresh
Iceland Trout Sashimi, also had caviar - wow
Pompano Sushi
Sardine Sushi
Japanese Snapper Sushi
I probably could have continued as there were many more specials that I wanted to try but I didn't
Meal total $55.
This was absolutely the freshest fish - almost jumping off the plate.
I'd be curious to know if anyone has eaten there lately and what they had.
