First time at Zafferano's in East Boston for a birthday dinner last night. Went there based on a reccommendation from a true foodie and we were not disappointed.
The husband and wife owners (he cooks she waits the tables and makes the desserts) are fantastic as were our meals. We started with the eggplant tower and antipasti, then split the homemade cheese ravioli in red sauce. Entrees consisted of seafood risotto (probably the best), veal scallopini and veal milanese (which included the chop), and grilled shrimp. All were fantastic. For dessert we went with a tiramisu, ricotta pie (best I ever had), and a chocolate tarte. We went with two bottles of the Chianti Cantina di Moltancino which I heartedly reccomend (reasonably priced as well). Overall one of the top Italian meals I've ever had outside Italy.
