Had dinner out tonight and when the check came it included a "tip guide." Underneath the total amount of the bill they had automatically calculated the amount of a tip at 15%, 18% and 20%.
My first reaction was, hey, that's helpful. After all, math is hard. But then I had a change of heart and felt like it was kinda tacky.
Now I just don't know what I think. Please help me decide.
One more fact that might tip the scales: at the bottom of the menu, it reads something like: "A gratuity of 15-20% is customary and appreciated."
