KFC is running a new, and to my mind, offensive TV commercial. Parents are opening the plastic dome over a storebought rotisserie chicken, as their daughter whines, "Again?" The plastic domes are shown being used as planters, part of the other kids' games and projects, etc. Then the screen cuts to the family enthusiastically helping themselves from a bucket of fried chicken and accompanying starchy sides.
Though neither meets the goal of a balanced, home-cooked meal, the KFC option is clearly far less healthy than the rotisserie chicken and probable (non deep-fried) sides, assuming that adults who aren't cooking the chicken are microwaving prepared sides or perhaps fresh vegetables. A KFC fried chicken dinner is nutritionally preferable only if the other choice is cotton candy and Oreos! ;^)
On rare occasions, I buy and enjoy the KFC chicken pot pie - maybe once a year. But this commercial turns me off enough to make me refuse to ever buy their food again. Not that they'll notice.
