Hash Browns @ Polk Street Station (SF)

Intrigued by recs for biscuits and gravy at this diner-ish place, I tried it recently for breakfast. The biscuit was decent, if a bit too firm, and the gravy was nice but with an out of place sweetness in the aftertaste. The golden hash browns ordered well-done were the star of breakfast. Made from fresh, raw potatoes (not parboiled), they had a nice crust from griddling in butter and weren’t mushy.

Any other recommendations here?
