Harvest Wheat Field Bakery | Inner Richmond - San Francisco

Melanie Wong | Sep 17, 201804:01 PM

A couple weeks ago I dropped in on the new Harvest Wheat Field Bakery on Clement Street. There seem to be several bakeries with "Wheat Field" in the name springing up, and I can't tell if they are related or not. Anyone know?

I tried the mango mille crepe cake, $5.50. Looking at it in the display case, this had thicker and fewer crepe layers than the green tea one alongside. Maybe necessary to provide a foundation for the chunks of mango. The mango pieces were on the firm side and not that ripe. Mango-flavored cream was the best part. The soggy crepes were not my thing. Perhaps the more delicate green tea flavor would have been a better bet.

I also tried a mooncake with white lotus filling and one salted egg yolk. Kind of average and I would not buy this again.

If anyone has something to recommend here, please let us know.
