the harrison: another obnoxious reservations policy

Becky | Oct 15, 2002 12:56 PM

I just got a reservation for Friday night at the harrison, where I've been trying to go for some time and where I hear is good food and a bargain. Now I'm torn about whether I even should go. I made the reservation and I was asked for a fax number so they could send me their reservations policy. Weird, I thought, but okay--they don't want to hear "you never told me..." But there's more. You actually have to fill out your credit card information and promise to pay $25 per head if you cancel after 3 pm on the day of the reservation and then FAX IT BACK. I can understand that kind of thing for large parties--but what about taking the damn number over the phone? Oh, and the policy also states that parties of 5 or more are alloted 2 hours and 45 mins. I wonder if they'll kick us out as my mom's blowing out her birthday candles?

These places that act like they are doing us a favor by existing and we should be forever's truly amazing.

Is this place at all worth it?
