I explored Harrison Ave in Harrison, NJ recently, and was amazed at the variety of countries represented.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try any of these restaurants yet:
There is a Chinese Restaurant, Chinatown, at 218 Harrison Ave that has a number of authentic-looking dishes on its menu, and they told me that they are from Shanghai.
At 224, there is Los Valles Encantados, which is Peruvian.
At 225, there is Flavors of Brazil, which is Brazilian.
At 234, there is Cordillera, which is Ecuadorian.
A couple of blocks further up, there is a Portuguese fish store, a Polish butcher (next door to the fish store), and a Portuguese grocer (across the street).
I'm sure I've missed some places, too.
