Happy vegetarians at Gobo

I had some friends coming in from out of town with very limited diets, so I took them to Gobo. Portions weren't humungous (5 small dumplings in an order of "seared" (pan-fried) spinach dumplings, and 3 spinach-soy cheese won tons in an order) but almost everything was tasty. There's a juice bar (I ordered organic pineapple juice). We shared the sweet & sour crispy seitan nuggets with broccoli (not my favorite, basically batter-fried chunks without much taste in a sugary sauce), soy "filet" with coconut curry rice, basically soy triangles in a tangy sauce with red and yellow peppers and a small mound of rice, and smoked "Beijing-style" tofu. (The menu descriptions were kind of amusing.)

For dessert, there was a chocolate cake, a mango tapioca pudding with almond brickle (I wasn't prepared for the soupy texture, was hoping for more of an agar preparation) and a "napoleon".

Coffee was great! My one gripe was the prices of non-alcoholic drinks...juices are 6, 7, and more.
