Happy Hour Specials at D&A Cafe in San Francisco

Melanie Wong | Oct 18, 200605:49 AM     12

Today we caught a late lunch on Clement St. Late enough that the 3 to 6pm happy hour specials had already started. We shared a bowl of "mandarin pork noodle", a weird version of zha jiang mian in soup. The noodles were wirey, springy style of thin mein, so I wouldn't hesitate to order a different type of soup noodle here. The beef stew noodle soup seemed to be the most popular choice and priced the same at $2.25.

The real winner was the plate of walnut prawns at $4. Juicy, large prawns cooked perfectly with a nice crust on them. Fresh, crunchy walnuts too. A good version, and even more appealing at this price.

These two items with mugs of complimentary house tea was just enough for a quick meal for my parents and me. Quite the deal for less than $8 including tax and tip.
