I'm a longtime Taylors fan, but the last few times the steaks have been less than good. The last visit, a week ago (8th Street location), was not bad, it was awful. Since the last couple of culottes have been average, I tried a Porterhouse. Really bad. My companions had London Broil and they turned them back. I should have done the same. I asked the waitress what was up, and she didn't have an answer. After some prodding, she mumbled something about "new suppliers." I also noticed that the usually crisp and tasty bread was mushy and flavorless. The ambience continues to be wonderful, but I hope this place isn't sinking. I'd miss it. Have I just had a series of "bad nights?"
