Curious how all the foodies out there manage their food allergies/intolerances when away from home. I know for me it's been a challenge handling business lunches, invitations to dinner at friends and acquaintances homes, going out to dinner, parties travelling etc.
I despise making a fuss and calling attention to my food "issues". I thought maybe we could share little tricks we've learned along the way to navigate this pain in the arse affliction such as: eating ahead, making good use of an insulated picnic bag or lunch bag, how to deal with restaurants and most of all, as a foodie how do you still manage to enjoy food when you have restrictions.
I certainly entertain more at home than I ever have so I can still enjoy the great pleasure of sharing food with friends.
