Need Help - I've never handled Fresh Fish

I have never cooked fresh fish before (always frozen or filleted, etc.). The other day, I got a relatively fresh (whole) fish from a chinese market. They cleaned it for me, which means its head and tail are off, but it's not filleted or anything. I stuck it in my fridge because I want to cook it tonight. This morning, there's a pool of blood in the bag. Is it okay? It's still in the fridge. Do I just rinse the fish before I cook it?

What are you supposed to do with a fresh fish if you're not going to immediately cook it?
