A friend who went for lunch today passed this info along. They're closing by the end of month, and are referring customers to Aoyama instead. This isn't surprising as it's generally dead quiet every time i've been there lately. Obviously the decor (lack thereof) will turn potential new customers off, I don't think it has changed one bit since its opening. At this price range ($15 nigiri or sashimi lunch special), there really isn't any competition.
I've been a customer since the mid 90's, it will be a sad day. I hope to give it a last whirl before they're closed for good.
