Ham Bones For Soup

Querencia | Dec 8, 201411:28 AM

The last time this was mentioned in a post I was surprised by how many people didn't know about it and were glad to hear: the stores that sell fancy ham platters (are we allowed to mention names? Initials are HB) slice the ham on their spiral machines which leave a LOT of ham on the bone, and then THEY SELL THE BONES. Now with the party platter season going on, more bones will be available. This is wonderful news for lovers of split pea and bean soup.
