Through the whole history of premium ice cream, my family stuck with Haagen Dazs because (we always said) the fact was that no $10 pint actually tasted richer or creamier, or was made with better ingredients, than basic, simple HD. They stayed amazingly consistent for decades.
But the last five or ten times I've bought their vanilla (our usual for sundaes, pie, etc.) it just doesn't taste the same - it's icier and milkier, not creamy and dense like it used to be.
Am I imagining things, or did Haagen Dazs finally crap out?
