Went to the Chattanooga Gunbarrel Road location of Five Guys this afternoon to get what I consider a really good burger. The burger and fries was great, as always, but the overhead music (and I use the term sarcastically...) was LOUD! It was grunge, metallica, hard rock, which, really, everyone doesn't care for, including me, but the real put-off was the volume! Screaming, hissing, yelling overhead does not a pleasant environment make for conversation or enjoying what should otherwise be an enjoyable meal!
Came home, went to Five Guys website, wrote to whomever their website complaint e-mails go to, and 30 minutes later, the franchisee of the location calls, asks what the issue was. He didn't get all my e-mail, just name and phone number. I explain, he says "corporate" mandates what "music" they MUST play. I ask who at "corporate" I can call or write, and he doesn't know!
I tell the dude that (1) Everyone doesn't like this type of "music"; (2) Some people are susceptible to headaches at loud music; and (3) Whatever m"music" you play, why MUST it be so loud???
Next time I go back to Five Guys, if nothing has changed, I'll never go back!!
