Guilt about getting deliveries in the snow

mikemorg | Dec 5, 2003 09:20 AM

Here is something I have wondered for quite a while, and maybe it is just my jewish guilt at play here, but it seems apropros with the latest storm of the century bearing down on us (alarmist meteorologists is another post for another time)...

Does anyone else feel bad about ordering food for delivery when the weather is horrible? On the one hand, I feel bad for the guys having to run around in the snow and rain and slush just to serve my lazy self. But on the other hand, I wonder if others feel this way, perhaps they don't make as much on bad weather days, so I should tip them more generously than normal?

No one else may care about this but I was always curious. Do people out there tip delivery guys more in bad weather, and/or is there any hesitation about ordering food in bad weather?
