Just spent a week in GDL, stayed in the Colonia Americana (Casa Montore) & mostly ate in walking distance.
I was impressed by the high end, seasonal eats at Allium--lovely terrace too.
Tikuun proved wonderful with its modern take on Mexican ingredients. For example, rabbit quesadilla with pink mole; chileatole with chayote, calabacita & huitlacoche en polvo.
I enjoyed Argentine chorizo & empanada from the Martin Fierro food truck on Av. Libertad.
Very intrigued by the multiple food stands at the new & very hip Mercado Mexico (on Calle Colonias & La Paz, near the the US consulate), but only had a (fine) cappuccino at Palreal.
Not new, but I enjoyed 4 simple, delightful seafood meals at Mariscos del Pacifico (on Diez de Leon).
