Ive been reading a lot of Patricia Wells books lately and have been inspired to grow and cure my own capers after reading her description. So I called around to all the nurseries I could think of with no luck, then finally found that my closest nursery can order a 1 gallon plant, but I have to wait two weeks. I actually called a nursery in San Francisco and was told Oh, those dont grow here. No, why would they in our MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE? Well, maybe it is too foggy in SF. Anyway, there seems to be a dearth of knowledge and interest in capers among nursery folk, so what about you all? Anyone grow and cure capers? Any words of wisdom? Salt or vinegar? I cant wait for my plant.
