Grouse

I've been re-reading my English cookbooks to cheer myself up, and would like to know if anyone knows of a NYC butcher that carries grouse or if it's a purely British bird and totally impossible to find in US. Barbara Kafka mentions in ROASTING that one can find grouse in the West Coast, so perhaps there are some mail order suppliers that carry it?
