I took your recommendations and hit Grotto with my sister for a birthday dinner Saturday night.
Everything was absolutely fantastic. She had the spaghetti and meatballs for her appetizer and was completely blown away. This was followed by the prosciutto wrapped tenderloin and the creamiest risotto ever. Closer to cheesy grits or mac and cheese than risotto. Service was phenomenal and they even put a candle in her chocolate pudding.
I had two appetizer portions as my meal. They left the almonds off the crab ravioli in saffron sauce and it was absolutely perfect. Also, the braised short ribs were accompanied by the silkiest gnocchi I ever tasted. My dessert was a dulce de leche and was like sipping liquid butterscotch pudding.
With one soda and no alcohol the bill came to $62.50.
Thanks, hounds! I'll be going back.
