Grills and Things--Syosset

After seeing two months of ads in the Penny Saver, I finally made it to Grills and Things on Rt 25 in Syosset. For about $25 the two of us each had a drink and a dinner platter. This included two shish-kebobs each (in our case the saffron chicken and the garlic chicken), salad and "green" rice (dill). We also split a lentil soup. Overall, everything was very tasty and well prepared. You could watch your food get grilled if you wanted and they have a pretty good assortment of "exotic" meats (ostrich, buffalo, quail....). The soup tasted homemade and the rice had a nice flavor. Not much in desserts and the place itself was small and not really an "eat in dining room". It has not been all that busy for eating in(I drive by it daily and have never seen ppl inside) but I think they do a good take-out business. The service was solid---I would go back again.
