Green Peas, Culver City - A Quick Hit

Mattapoisett in LA | Jul 20, 2009 10:40 PM

So one day Dommy and I finally made the trek [Walking quite a way] to try out Vinoteque. We were surprised to find a hastily written note on the door announcing their closure. Harumph. Since then, we had been keeping a close eye on the space in case something else popped up and a few weeks ago Green Peas arrived.

The First time we went we arrived during out lunch hour and had arrived 5 seconds after the county health inspector making her first unannounced inspection We were Planning to eat there but that was blown out by the 45 minutes to get food which we had them wrap to go. Dommy had a Curry Chicken salad Sandwich which she and a Co-worker I sent there said were great. they chicken was not over done and mushy but had a firmness and a good curry flavor. I had the Mushroom Endive and Feta sandwich since I was trying to be healthy. The issue was the ingredients were too good the Endive had real bite and the Feta was good and salty. While I didn't prefer it, Dommy Liked it a lot.

The Second time we got takeout for the Dodgers Game. Dommy Wanted to try the Prosciutto Sandwich and we Liked the Curry Chicken Salad so Much we got it this time as a Wrap. There was a Ton of Prosciutto in the Sandwich it was pretty hefty. While the Wrap was a little worse for wear after the trek to dodgers stadium it was still good. Which brings us to our one complaint so Far which is they over dress their salads. Each of the side salads seemed to be made with Good quality Farmers Market Green mixes but each was drowning in dressing. by the time we were at Chavez Ravine the greens were a goopy mess. So word to the wise ask for it on the side

Take Care
