Another great torta

I found an old article about a hamburger stand called Ya Ya's in Huntington Park. In addition to what was described a an okay hamburger, the article goes on to describe different kinds of tortas. We just had to go try this place yesterday. We weren't the least bit disappointed. They list 65 different kinds of tortas on their menu. They also have taocs de papas which is one of my favorite things, tacos de panela (which is really just a quesadilla) that was very tasty with some kind of a cabbage relish on top, tacos de frijol and other regular Mexican food dishes. I had the tepiquena torta and my B/H had the carnitas torta. The bread was delicious as was the entire torta. Mine had a marinated roast pork which was very tasty. They include beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onion and jalapenos My husband's had lots of juicy carnitas. We also ordered two tacos de panela. They also serve a foot long steak sandwich which the writer of the article described as impressive. They have flan, cheesecake and a huge bannana spit that looks inviting in the picture. I will defenitely go back again and again to this place. I will try to work my way through part of those 65 tortas one at a time.
