Anyone have a great recipe for rhubarb custard pie?

soccermom13 | Sep 2, 202006:11 AM     4

My mother was an outstanding pie baker. Her pie crust was unbelievably good. One of my favorites was her rhubarb custard pie. I have many of her recipes, but, alas, not that one. I tried this recipe yesterday, but the filling was too solid. I remember my mother's as being more "liquid-y" in a good way. Can anyone provide a recipe? Thanks in advance.

p.s. I have been pie-making phobic for years, but I decided to change that. I am having really good luck with this pie crust, which does not require the fiddly/tedious/extremely annoying cutting in of the fat because that step is done in the food processor. It's a great recipe for beginners like me. I use a small amount of leaf lard in place of part of the butter.
